What I’m All About

Where It All Began.

School was where the first sparks flew. I always looked forward to two things: Sports and Woodworking. I quickly realised I wasn’t destined to be a footballer, so Carpentry became the dream. Life, however, had other plans. I discovered a passion for electronics and found myself in the home‑entertainment repair world. I spent around eight enjoyable years in that field before moving into management. That role took me to far‑flung places and kept me busy for nearly two decades—long days, long flights, and very little time for anything else. Then 2020 arrived, and the company let me go. Fortunately, I was unemployed for all of twelve hours before being head‑hunted by a local firm. With fixed hours and a healthier work–life balance, I suddenly had something I hadn’t had in years: time.​

Rediscovering Woodworking.

Woodworking had always been there in the background, but life never gave me the space to start—let alone finish—side projects. With my new routine, that changed. The passion came back stronger than ever, and with it, a new sense of purpose.​

How Sawdust Shoes Was Born.

One day, I walked in from the workshop and my wife stopped me mid‑stride. She looked down at my shoes and said, “Don’t come in here—you’ve got sawdust all over your shoes! And just like that, the name stuck.​

 

A New Chapter Begins.

So here I am, following the path I once imagined back at school. Sawdust on my shoes, tools in hand, and a renewed drive to create. My new story starts now.
